This project was made possible by the generosity of the parishioners of St. Luke’s Parish in Motherwell through Tony McKay, a VMM from that parish who worked with LWHC for many years.
The project started in 2010. The initial activity pursued was in the milling of grade 1 sifted flour with the goal of providing a quality, locally produced staple food item to a wide local market. A bi-product of this process is sold as chicken feed.
